The Anzac Centenary gave Australians the opportunity to reflect on what initially defined our nation during extremely difficult times and with many Australian families losing loved ones in WW1.
The Anzac Centenary commemorated the ANZACs who landed at Gallipoli and those that served on the Western Front during WW1, but will also focus on a century of service by Australian servicemen and women.
The Anzac Centenary focused on all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations in which Australians have been involved.
Over 102,000 Australians have died in service to Australia and our nation can honour that service and sacrifice, including the service of all our military over the past 100 years
The Anzac Centenary also gave many Australians the opportunity to know more about our nations military history.
